Turkish Airlines hosted an iftar dinner with the support of NEU at Selimiye Square, the historical site of Nicosia

Nearly five hundred people from the region attended the iftar dinner hosted by Turkish Airlines with the support of Near East University at Selimiye Square, the historical center of Nicosia. Before the iftar, food packages were given to the people living in the region as well as various gifts for children.

Expressing that the iftar dinner was given within the scope of the Social Responsibility projects of Turkish Airlines, which acts with the slogan “The world is our home, passengers are our guests”, THY Cyprus Manager Resul Baş said that THY has signed more than a hundred social responsibility projects a year.

“We attach importance to our social responsibility projects as they show that we exist and will always exist in Northern Cyprus. At this point, I sincerely thank our people for the kindness they show by being with us.”.

Saying that THY will show the necessary effort and determination to realize our social responsibility projects in other areas of life in the future, Resul Baş said, “May God accept the fasts we have kept, the prayers we have performed and the prayers we have worshipped in His grace. I congratulate you on Eid al-Fitr and wish you a beautiful holiday with your family and loved ones.”.

In his speech, NEU Hospital Board Member and General Manager of Tourism Enterprises Ahmet Savaşan pointed out the importance of THY's presence in TRNC and expressed his gratitude on behalf of the people of the country for their sensitivity to social events.

Savaşan said that as long as we protect our national and spiritual values that make us who we are and build our lives on the basis of love, respect, solidarity, solidarity and tolerance, better days will be reached and congratulated the entire Islamic World on Eid al-Fitr.
